Thursday, May 29, 2008 — Project Malawi turned out to be a complete success, thanks to the valuable work of Laslo Balint and all of the Millsberry citizens who donated their hard earned millsbucks.
Because of the efforts of Feed Children in Malawi, $10,000 have been donated to help the children in Malawi on behalf of the people of Millsberry.
Both Laslo Balint and Mayor Trumble were present at the celebration ceremony held at the Community Center.
"I can't tell you how happy I am with the response we've gotten from the people of Millsberry for Feed Children in Malawi," commented Mayor Trumble at the celebration ceremony.
"The outpouring of support has been really touching to see. Just the thought of all of the help this money will give the children in Malawi warms my heart."
"I'm very proud of Laslo Balint and all of the honorary donors out there in Millsberry right now. These people are a constant reminder of how you can have a positive impact on something if you put your mind to it," added Mayor Trumble.
At the ceremony, Laslo Balint, the director of donations, addressed the dedicated crowd of Feed Children in Malawi supporters.
"Clearly, Feed Children in Malawi has been a success, largely because of your support."
"I want to personally thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for your help on this project. Without your support, this great success would not have been possible."
"Each and everyone out there who participated in this wonderful effort is a hero in my book. Because of your help, children in Malawi will be able to get the nutrition and food they need to move in the direction of having a healthy life."
"I want to congratulate all of you out there, and thank you again for your support. Well done!" added Laslo Balint.
When asked after the ceremony if he was interested in pursuing other projects like Feed Children in Malawi, Balint responded, "I want to be able to continue efforts like these in order to bring more positive change in the world."
"Hopefully, this is only the beginning."
