MILLSBERRY MERCHANTS BUSY WITH HOLIDAY PREPARATIONS
Wednesday, December 8, 2004 — Everyone in Millsberry is preparing for the upcoming holiday season, and stores are packed with holiday shoppers. Tricks, Toys & Games, which is centrally located in downtown Millsberry, is reporting record sales as people hurry to get their shopping done early, as well as take advantage of the after-Thanksgiving sales.
Brian Owens, owner of Tricks, Toys & Games, assures the public that he has plenty of stock to last through the end of the month. "Don't worry, we just received a new shipment of video and board games yesterday, so there should be plenty for everyone. Also, our holiday home decorations are now in stock - so come check out our fun holiday decor. Lastly, be sure to check our flyers in the mail... we're having a huge holiday sale right before Christmas."
Additionally, with the approach of the holiday season, Peterson's Construction and Hardware Emporium is busier than ever with people improving their homes. According to Pete Peterson, "I guess we all want our homes to look their best this time of year for arriving guests, as well as be ready to withstand our cold winters here in Millsberry!"
Down the street, at Bookends Bookstore, Carla Robbins reports that her store is also doing quite well. "I'm really excited that books are so popular this year," she exclaimed. "It's nice to know that kids are becoming more interested in reading. Our selection continues to grow. Also, I'd like to mention that we donated a large number of astronomy books, as a way of honoring the wonderful Millsberrry Astronomy Club Challenge that Cinnamon Toast Crunch has been sponsoring."
Speaking of the Millsberry Astronomy Club Challenge, don't forget to stop by Mr. Fort's science class and test your knowledge of outer space! Everyone still has a chance to win an awesome pair of goggles, a real lab coat, and access to the newest and coolest astronomy-themed game! Hurry up and get there before the challenge ends, and good luck!
